Home of the Wildcats, $3.9 million in scholarships was awarded in 2005. Two students had perfect 1,600 SAT scores. Mesquite High Schools is also known for it's excellent vocational education courses including; Business, Agriculture, Health Occupations, Industrial Technology, and Family/Consumer Sciences. The school has a culturally-diverse campus representing 60 countries.

Mesquite is a part of the Gilbert Public School District, the first district in Arizona to acquire the national pre-engineering program, Project Lead the Way (PLTW). With its commitment to recruit and retain all students, PLTW offers a flexible and rigorous high school four-year program that prepares students to enter a two or four-year college or technical school in engineering and engineering technology.
